3rd Annual Run for Haven

Join us for the 3rd annual Run for Haven featuring a 5K and 10K run through the Town of Tioga on Saturday, March17, 2012. With a St. Patrick's Day post party in the Tioga Town Center!

Check-in and day-of registration begins in the Tioga Town Center at 2 pm and the run starts at 4:30 pm. The first 400logo registered participants will receive a shirt and the first 400 finishers will receive a finisher medal.


Your registration fee includes not only the chip-timed run but a pre-run warm up provided by Laura Javidi who has been a fitness instructor for 10 years at Gainesville Health and Fitness, a post-run party with guest emcee Big Stew from Country 103.7 The Gator, live music by Dottie South and the Slackers, food and drinks from Adam's Rib Co, Blue Highway a Pizzeria, Burkhardt Sales and Services, and Dave's NY Deli; expo booths, awards ceremony and more!


Not a runner but still want to join the fun? Purchase a Post-Party Only ticket and you’ll be there to support the runners and a great cause.  Don’t forget to bring a chair to sit and enjoy the music.  Great news for parents!  On the day of Run for Haven, Sun Country Sports Center is providing a children’s fun day from 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm for a $20/per child donation.  Ages are from 3.5 and up.  Call 352.331.8773 to pre-register.

Marvin Smith, 94, is Haven’s oldest Attic volunteer. Marvin enjoys volunteering for Haven Hospice. “I heartily endorse the compassionate, caring ministry of this organization,” he says. “Someone had a great idea to start the Attic. Part of the fascination of working there is the wide variety of people you meet, and it provides resources for people in need.”
